Teak is getting more and more popular! Just last night I was watching a recent episode of Modern Family on Hulu and they mentioned teak!  A few weeks ago Family Guy also cracked a teak joke.  Why is everyone jumping on the teak wagon?  Because teak is a strong, durable hardwood that is aesthetically gorgeous in any application.  The natural oil produced by teak wood keeps away rot, mold, insects, and pesky neighbors.  Take a look at this new teak facade on the Mercer building made from Proteak lumber:
